nick saban, Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas LonghornsCan it be true? Have we finally ended numerous rumors and speculation about Nick Saban and his coaching future.  Will Saban be staying to coach the Alabama Crimson Tide after all?  Will Nick Saban not be coming to the Big 12 and the Texas Longhorns.

An Alabama website stats that Nick Saban has agreed to a contract extension with the Crimson Tide.  The story of Nick Saban to Texas has exploded and splattered information everywhere, but still there is no official announcement. Mack Brown is still the Head coach of the Texas Longhorns … for at least until Saturday evening.

Of course, these rumors should be taken lightly until you hear a press conference. Remember, that Alabama just lost to their in-state rivals, Alabama had a chance to win a third straight national championship, and key players will be leaving Alabama for the 2014 NFL Draft.

However, the Alabama news site and message board Tider Insider says that Saban has agreed – or is very close to agreement – to a new contract with Alabama. Details have not been announced, and the contract has not been confirmed by the university, but numbers will no doubt reflect his accomplishments, including winning three of the last four BCS Championships.
