Mack Brown, Texas Longhorns, Longhorns, Longhorns FootballHere is the latest news on the University of Texas head football coach Mack Brown.  Thanks to everybody who has been reading my posts this past week about the coaching information.

The Board of Regents meeting was yesterday.  It seem that Bill Powers job is safe at this time.  Late this afternoon, Steve Patterson, the Texas AD and Mack Brown will meet for an extended period of time.  Remember, Mack Brown is still the head coach at the University of Texas.  Wish I was a fly on the wall during that meeting.  Our sources say that there is indications that Nick Saban is figuring out a possible staff if he is hired as the next head coach of the Texas Longhorns.  I think there is a 65-70% chance that Nick Saban will become the new Texas Football head coach, soon after Mack Brown makes his announcement.  I have no doubt that Mack Brown can coach again, but will he in 2014 or 2015? Where?  Chip Brown of Orangebloods has announced per his sources that Mack Brown will most likely retire by Monday at the latest.  Your thoughts and opinions are welcome.

Quote of the Week: UT Booster Red McCombs on the chance of getting Nick Saban as the head coach of the TexasLonghorns: “There’s no question. All the money that’s not under the Vatican is at UT.”
