The two-time NFL Pro Bowler and former Longhorn DE took time at the spring game to visit with

May 3, 2011

Is it enjoyable to come back to see former teammates and coaches at the Spring Game?
It’s fun to come back and see all of the old guys here and just have a good time. It’s always a family atmosphere out here at the University of Texas, and we like to show support for these young cats and hope they have a great season.

Is it nice to be able to show your family around?
Coach Brown has that family atmosphere, and we can bring our own families and incorporate them into the UT family. Everybody out here is having a great time, with festivities, food, [and] great football. The fans are showing enormous support, and it’s a great thing.

What do you expect from the Longhorns in the upcoming season?
I think they’re ready. They are well prepared. They have a new coaching staff [and] new blood lines. So I think they have a lot of good things coming up.

Is it your goal to be thought of as one of the top defensive linemen in the NFL?
I don’t really care about it. It’s just they always want to disrespect people on a losing team so I just have to show, and the Redskins [have to show], that we just have to win more ball games. So hopefully we are going to do some good things this year.

What are your goals for the Redskins this upcoming season?
I want to win a Super Bowl. I have done all of the individual accolades already. I want to win some games. My first two years we won four games, then we won six games, and that’s terrible. I want to do better than that. I want to help my team get to the playoffs and hopefully reach that ultimate goal of the Super Bowl.
